Larry Friedberg has thirty years of continuous experience in the martial arts, originally training in the ancient Ryu Kyu Arts under Kyoshi Edward Jardine, in Japan under the late grandmaster Motokatsu Inoue Sensei and in Australia with Hanshi Patrick McCarthy, Sensei Mark Mathews and Sensei Roland Gill.
Larry also has trained in boxing, Tae Kwon Do, kick boxing, karate-jutsu, kobujutsu and white crane.
He also instructs taiji and qigong classes in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
He is a student of Patrick Kelly (one of the most sought after taiji instructors and a foremost authority on taiji in the world).
Larry has developed a systematic and simple training regime which can be learnt quickly and compliments elements of many styles of martial arts, boxing, fitness, taiji, qigong and white crane and these elements form part of his self defence courses in and around Sydney. These courses and classes are suitable for womans or mens groups, young or old and quickly develop the necessary skills to ward off even the biggest opponents.
Larry teaches mixed adults in private at their homes, in parks and in groups in the eastern suburbs Sydney (around Centenial Park and the Domain) and conducts short courses for private and public schools in Sydney's eastern and north shore suburbs.
