Afrokings - (be happy)

Sydney band Afrokings featuring Master Malian guitarist and vocalist Moussa Diakete play modern Malian inspired music combining the rich musical traditions of this West African homeland, combining African soul and latin rhythms with the sophistication of jazz improvisation (provided by the outstanding Sydney rhythm section) Larry Friedberg and Chris Frazier.

Transposing into guitar, those traditional instruments such as the N'goni Kamale N'goni, Kora, Socou and the Balafon, Moussa displays his unique guitar styles.

Muossa has performed in various music festivals throughout Europe, Asia and South America and nearly every major city, he has been the featured guitarist with some of Africa's finest performers including Salif Keita.

Moussa has also starred with local acts Pape Mbaye + Afro Namods
